It’s time, y’all.
Have you decided what your theme is for the year? Any words or phrases have been tugging at you? This could be for anything – you, your family, your business, school, etc. There are no limits.
Let’s talk about it.
2017 was the year of challenge yourself. Oh boy, it was a stretch! Stepping out of my comfort zones were not easy. But I ended the year stronger than when I began. I’m very thankful!
Of course, joy will always be part of my theme. But these words came to me last week: endurance and consistency. Heavy duty words, right? I don’t create resolutions but I do have a list of five huge goals I want to accomplish/get in motion by December 31st. It will be a challenge and there will be adjustments that won’t be comfortable, but I know with God’s help and the encouragement of others, I will do well this year.
How did you do last year? What was your theme? What were the good parts? How did you do when life knocked you down?
That’s good, now it’s time to turn that fresh page.
2018! You made it.
If you’re just starting out, get to a quiet place and think about what you want to do, how you want to help society, and other aspects of your life that you want to succeed in.
Write it down, so you can return to it through the year. Take time to focus and learn what you need to do so you can take it to a higher level.
How about those dreams? Don’t let them collect dust – check them out and see how we can make them come true. (I’m talking to myself as I’m writing this.)
Also, I encourage you to connect (or re-connect) with others so that you can have someone to be there for you, through the ups and downs. Then you can be ready to help others when they need a listening ear, shoulder to cry on, or just a friendly smile!
I know that in January, we usually all take time to re-examine, find time to clear our the junk, so we can start out with a clean slate. Some of us fast or consecrate our time. Others begin new healthy habits for the body, mind, and spirit through other ways.
No matter when you start this annual journey, know that you’re not alone. There is grace for you; don’t let a bad period in time discourage you or make you want to give up. The effort and time you put in now, will come back with such a reward. It will definitely surprise you!
I’m believing that 2018 will be full of success, love, and joy for you!
Let’s do this.
