Walking in Annapolis

Always itching to walk around and take pictures, I went to Annapolis last week. Some of the bloggers and locals I follow on Instagram, mentioned specific streets downtown and so I went! Annapolis is definitely a walking town; you’ll get your steps in but as a reward, there is a lot to see and experience.

It was a cool day when we went, but the sun was shining, which made all the colors brighter and bolder. Another perk of going on the day we did, was that it wasn’t too crowded.

As you walk through the neighborhoods in downtown Annapolis, there are styles that go back to the 1700s, with the plaque by the door that states it’s part of the city’s historical society. Of course, the buildings that are lived in, have been updated to current standards and feature modern looks.

I don’t know what it is, but I find the colorful houses with intricate designs, and architecture incredibly fascinating.  I just had to capture them in photos.

Maybe because I’m always looking for inspiration dreaming what my ideal aesthetic of a house should be, with a front porch and a bright door. 🙂

Is there a section in your town or area that is preserved as historic?
