My eyes are big and expressive.
To me, that’s very good and very bad. I don’t hide my eyes well. You will know exactly what I’m thinking. Since I was little, my eyes have gotten me into trouble (rolling them, making faces when I shouldn’t have). But on the flip side, there’s usually a twinkle in my eye. (Mischievous Mel…)
Sometimes, I’ll cover my eyes to envision a dance combination in class. One of my girls noticed this and I got so embarrassed. But it helps. As someone who is captivated by visuals – in life and dance – I’m glad my eyes help me discover the beauty in the world and in others.
“Your eyes show the strength of your soul.” – Paulo Coehlo
If that’s the case, then my eyes are telling myself and others that I’m joyful. I’m resilient. I’m loving. I’m passionate. I’m creative. I’m strong in the power of His might (Ephesians 6:10).
But that’s just me.
What are your eyes showing? 🙂

I am LOVING all these photos that you are taking of yourself, Mel!!
