Hello there! How was your week?
Doing something new for Fridays. A recap of sorts and sharing a few links that you may enjoy. Fun, insightful, creative, silly things. Let’s see how it goes!
ONE | If you didn’t get a chance to read my post from Monday, here it is.
TWO | Any ER fans in the house? If so, you’re in luck. The whole series is streaming on on Hulu. This is excellent news for me; it was a favorite show of mine when I was younger (that was primetime TV for me), especially during my “I want to be a doctor” phase in elementary school. So, this has been extra cool to watch from the beginning. Watching it now as we speak. 🙂
THREE | My friend Ica, who is a wonderful wedding and portrait photographer, had a IG live video last week about networking and making friends in the industry you’re working in. It was encouraging and so insightful. She also wrote a post about the topic on her blog. Check it out!
FOUR | I’ve been playing The Greatest Showman soundtrack a lot. In the car, during my classes. Even when I want to have a dance party. It’s so much fun. I highly recommend it. Have you seen the movie yet? If so, what did you think?
FIVE | You know I had to include some dancing. Have you ever noticed when people turn fast, they don’t get dizzy? It’s called spotting. Do you know how to spot? Here’s how I explain it to my students: Before you make a turn, find a place in front of you or the direction that you want to go. Start rotating your body, but continue to look at that place you determined for as long as you can. Then, when it’s no longer possible, turn your head around and find that spot again. It’s a way to train your eye so you turn cleanly, keep your balance, and of course, not get dizzy. Start slow, so you can get used to it. Then, as you pick up speed, it won’t be an issue. Here’s a video.
