To welcome the autumnal equinox (woohoo Fall!), I selected this jazzy rendition of Autumn Leaves as this week’s That’s My Song.
You may know Leslie Odom Jr. from Smash, or as my mother remembers, the mean guy from The Good Wife. In addition to his acting credits, Leslie’s an accomplished singer. Last year, he originated the role of Aaron Burr in Hamilton.
It’s a smooth cover, showcasing Leslie’s vocals and range. The piano? I’m a sucker for a good jazz chord, so this is perfect.
