Spotify hooked me up once again.
I pressed “Play” on its’ Discover Playlist. There were some cool selections this week. But one struck a chord (literally) to me for some reason.
It’s “Never Far Away: by Active Child. The song is Track #3 on the album, Mercy. I enjoyed the ’80s pop/electronica sound with the classic keyboard/synthesizer chords, so I’ll have to check out more songs. I read the guy (Pat Grossi) used to be in a children’s choir and his voice has a beautiful, ethereal quality to it. I can hear influences from ’80s/early ’90s European groups and R&B artists in this song, which is a great combo for me. Between the melody, the vocals, and sweet lyrics, I was hooked. Take a listen.
What’s on your Discover playlist? Find any have-to-repeat-and-add gems yet? I’m always down for recommendations. Because it’s pretty obvious that I love music! 🙂
