Tomorrow is Thanksgiving (in the U.S.)! So many facets to this special day.
Getting all the food prepared. Setting your favorite decorations on the table. Connecting with loved ones and friends. Watching your favorite movies or my favorite, football! Waking up “early” to watch the parades.
Maybe you celebrated last month or at a different part of the year. Regardless of the date, let’s backtrack to the main point. It’s a day to remember.
Let me ask you: What are you thankful for?
It doesn’t have to be some huge and lofty concept. I know. This year may not have been roses. (It wasn’t!) But still, I know you can find a few things to be appreciate.
Being thankful could just mean acknowledging that you woke up today. Finding that parking spot you were looking for. Seeing your favorite person. Having gifts and talents. Knowing that money is coming in (at any pace). Being in one piece when you get home every day. Getting second and third and fourth chances! Having the change to get away for a day or two. The possibilities are endless.
Let’s discuss this quote I found. How do you translate your gratitude into sharing? What do you share?
We can be thankful every day. It’s good to know that we don’t have wait until Fall to make that happen. Challenge and encourage yourself to give thanks. You never know, someone will see you and they’ll want to join in! Although life and circumstances may distract us from seeing the big picture, there’s always something to appreciate.
Comment here or on FB and share your list. I’ll post mine over there too. 🙂
Hope you and your family have a great Thanksgiving holiday/Happy Thursday/weekend!
