Styling A Fuzzy Vest!

Posted in Casual Yet Chic by

Finally jumped on the bandwagon and purchased a faux fur vest.¬† It’s always been on my wishlist, but could never scoop one up at the right time. I adore creating a look that gives off a trendy and fancy vibe.

I debuted this cream vest jacket in December; I usually purchase something new for events, but didn’t feel like going full out. As I did some online searching, I found it at Target. End result: layering it over a blouse and burgundy pants for our Christmas Eve service.

When I saw it on the rack, I knew it would be a good addition to my summer ensemble. ¬†Kohl’s always comes through with the nice deals. Plus, I didn’t have any yellow in my repertoire. Shameful!

I stand in front of everyone so I can’t look busted. (Yowza!) The combination of looking nice and comfortable is important to me.

I wore black and burgundy last year, so I wanted to try a different color scheme. ¬†A few years back, I wore a sleeveless black dress with a gold scarf. ¬†It was reasonable and easy enough to duplicate this look. Read more…

Posted in Casual Yet Chic by

Last month, I started a series called Dressing Up For Spring. We talked about cute heels, and now here is part two.

What makes your wardrobe Spring-like?  In my mind, clothes that are lightweight, bright or soft hues,  giving you a warm feel.  Plus, depending on the climate, with spring, you have more options with skirts and dresses, shoes, and more!

Here are four outfits¬†I’ll be featuring:
