It’s about that time, y’all. That “weird” period of time when the months change, but the weather is still hot. But thank goodness for classic pieces that can transition from season to season.
Last week, I found two items from Old Navy and I’m glad I bought them. Let’s check it out.
I don’t know about you, but there are particular shades that I return to throughout the year. Especially during spring and summer. Jewel tones and bold colors have always been my go-to, but I thoroughly enjoy a good blush! You know that soft, princess pink, but with peachy tones? Some many call it “dusty rose/dusty pink”. So nice. It’s a nice departure if you don’t want to wear true pink.
Have a few items that I have in my rotation right now…
Hey there! This post has been in my draft box for a few weeks, but oh well.
Earlier this month, I went to Clarksburg Premium Outlets and stopped by Talbots. I can always count on this store to inspire me when it comes to accessories. Whether it’s the main store or an outlet, they have a great lineup of adorable bauble necklaces, dangly and stud earrings, intricate statement pieces, and layering jewelry that can brighten any outfit. Even in the wintertime!
I’m doing a celebratory pas de bourrée… my favorite season has arrived.
We got a quick preview a few weeks ago, but it’s starting to cool down on the East coast. Depending on your area, the fall (or maybe you call it autumn) can mean different things. The gold, red, and orange leaves create a gorgeous canvas outside. Our drink choices are warmer. Apples and spiced pumpkins are the scents of choice. Some of our routines (school and teaching) start again. Things are changing again.
But usually, our wardrobes lean towards longer sleeves, more accessories, and richer shades of our favorite colors. That’s a constant.
Is there a piece that you start to wear in the fall?
This year marked the 55th anniversary of the theatrical release of Breakfast At Tiffany’s. It’s my favorite live-action film. Based on the Truman Capote short story, Audrey Hepburn (my favorite actress and one of my style influences) portrayed the iconic version of Holly Golightly.
