I don’t know what it is, but there’s nothing more comforting and exhilarating to me than buying a new planner/agenda book. Just adds to my love for stationery, pens, and notebooks. That’s fine, call me a loser. But I love it.
Over the years, I’ve collected different types of books to schedule my work load, plan events, and mark down social activities. I’ve used different sizes and formats. I don’t have a particular favorite; just looking for blank spaces to fill things in and use it consistently. Unfortunately, I’m of the mindset that if I don’t write it down, I won’t remember, and it won’t get done! So, why not find something that will work?
Gotta love a nice manicure and pedicure. It’s one of the ways I “treat” myself after a long teaching year or for a special occasion. (Psst: I hadn’t gotten my nails professionally until last year. Crazy, right?) As much as I enjoy being pampered, I buy my own nail polish or borrow one of my sisters’ bottles, and transform my digits. Yes, it’s cost effective, but I’m the kind of girl who will either wear a shade for several weeks or change it up after a few days. And I have some me time.
Music is an important part of my life. Very eclectic tastes – I have everything on my iPod, from classic rock to pop to trap hip-hop. If it has a beat, makes me move, or tugs at my heartstrings, I’m all for it. I love finding new music and artists. Whenever I hear something – a full selection or a snippet on a commercial – and it piques my interest, I gravitate towards it.
Regardless of whether someone has accomplished feats or not by the age of 30, it is still a big event. Since my birthday, I’ve been contemplating: What do I want to do? Where do I want to be when that day comes? There are some cool things I’ve done so far, and yet so much I haven’t touched.
I have no clue what’s going to happen.
I love letters, new pens, journals, and more! Sending mail to my favorites is a big hobby of mine. I love taking the time to pick fun and thoughtful birthday and thank you-cards. It just make me giddy. (It’s the event planner/party host in me!) During every Target run I make, I visit the stationery section. Even if I don’t buy, I check out what the store is offering. Last week, I scooped up a pack of cards from Mara-Mi; I thoroughly enjoy the designs of each pack.
