How simple or intricate is your makeup routine?
I know it varies for everyone. Some just need moisturizer and mascara before walking out the door. Or, they choose to not even wear makeup. I wish I was in that category! For others, a full beat is required. And that’s okay!
Lately, I’ve usually put on something, so I’m not scaring folks or having them think I’m always sleep deprived. I can’t always keep my sunglasses on. LOL.
But here are my go-to’s for an easy look, for just going out, or when I have to do these video conference calls (this is a new thing for me).
Do you use the start of a school year to get motivated or organized? Even if you’re not a student or have a family member in school?
My main job (dance/theatre) occurs during the academic year (September-May). With everything starting and getting back into full-gear, lots of information and emails come my way. Around this time, I prepare and refocus for the remainder of the year, with my creative jobs and as well as administrative work.
Today, I’m sharing what I use to keep track of everything.
It’s about that time, y’all. That “weird” period of time when the months change, but the weather is still hot. But thank goodness for classic pieces that can transition from season to season.
Last week, I found two items from Old Navy and I’m glad I bought them. Let’s check it out.
Newsflash: I’ve been growing out my hair.
It’s been a journey, a struggle, and everything in between.
A lil’ backstory: I had shoulder-length hair for most of my life. Most of y’all have only seen me with this short cut, but yeah, I had the braids, french braids, buns, and all of that jazz growing up. As college and life happened, stress occurred. LOTS OF IT. Stress manifests in different ways physically. For me, that was my hair. It would break off, sometimes literally falling out. It was getting to be ridiculous and it was hard to disguise it. Ten years ago, I decided to take that step and cut it all off.
*shrugs* I’ve been around. But it’s time to touch base and blow some dust off.
Here’s a sensible recap since my last post… which was many moons ago.
