In the dance world, a big leap is called a grand jeté. It can take days, weeks, or even months of practice to get this move to where you want it. Legs have to be as straight as possible. Toes pointed. Upper body lifted. Land (or as we call it, plié) correctly. Sounds like a lot of things to remember! But once all of those “ingredients” are in place, it’s perfect. Once you run and let go, it’s a freeing and excellent moment. Even for a split second. You’re in the air!
Now, let’s think about our life situations and the goals we’re aiming for. What is holding us back? The fear of the unknown. Negativity. The timing doesn’t appear to be just right. Well, let me tell you, if we hold on to these “What if’s”, we won’t get anywhere.
Don’t be afraid. It’s okay to try and not quite make it just yet. But don’t stop there. Keep moving forward. Stay focused on the end results and where you want to be. Trust the process, even when it seems too tough. Your faith and confidence will rise. Just when you think there’s nothing left in you, you’ve made that leap to success.
Keep it up. Because what’s better than flying? 😉
