A Few Hours In Annapolis

During our Spring break (the week before Easter), my friend and I went to Annapolis – she had never visited before! You know I had to show her around. Our state’s capital has so much to offer – the history, arts and entertainment, good food, and a modern, preppy feel that many enjoy.  It’s only an hour away from where I am. Mel Goes To Boston

It’s rare for me to go on a trip during the school year.  Haven’t reached the luxury to get up and go just yet. After a bit of planning, I decided to visit Boston for the second time (first – 2014).  I have a few friends who live in the area, so it was a fun opportunity to check this city out again.

Take Me Away…

The gloomy skies and rain we’ve been receiving this week has me missing the sun. It also got me to think. You know how people have that one place where they can leave it all behind, without any cares? Most would call it their sanctuary.

A Few Hours In Philadelphia

Tagged along with my sister to Downtown Philadelphia (A little under 2 hours away from us, with no traffic) last week. A bit chilly, but nevertheless, a beautiful day to check out everything.   Now, I’ve visited Philly three times (twice for concerts and one other time seeing a friend), but I didn’t really focus on just observing.  But last week, for me, there was no agenda and that was the fun part.
