My desire to look extra fancy for Christmas usually hits a roadblock every year. I don’t shop early enough or the outfit idea doesn’t come to me until the last minute. Discouragement creeps in and I have to keep pushing towards my goal = look decent and stylish. In addition to photo ops, I sing at my church’s Christmas Eve/Morning service. I stand in front of everyone so I can’t look busted. (Yowza!) The combination of looking nice and comfortable is important to me.
I wore black and burgundy last year, so I wanted to try a different color scheme. A few years back, I wore a sleeveless black dress with a gold scarf. It was reasonable and easy enough to duplicate this look.
Here’s what I came up with:
Black blouse, chino pants, gold glitter heels (Charlotte Russe), champagne patterned scarf (from my sister).
I found these years ago – this is my third or fourth time wearing them out. Great pop of color, especially with a neutral.
My makeup was simple, I used the regular products for my face. I only wear dark lipstick for special occasions – (Hutch) from ColourPop twice in two days. This is incredible progress (I stick with my nudes!). For my eyes, I combined a few shades from my Morphe 35K palette and So Quiche by ColourPop.
